Asylum Dialogues is a drama performed by professional actors from Ice and Fire Actors for Human Rights, it draws on real life conversations and explores the everyday encounters between asylum seekers and British people, encouraging us to challenge our own preconceptions http://iceandfire.co.uk/outreach/scripts/asylum-dialogues

UNICEF on campus presents: SHOCKWAVE 2010

One month on from the devastating quake that rocked the Caribbean nation of Haiti on 12 January, UNICEF is urgently appealing for assistance to maintain our response to the resulting children’s emergency.

In response to this appeal, UNICEF on campus have organised SHOCKWAVE, an evening of entertainment featuring many talented members of Southampton University!

Treat your ears to the sweet sounds of; MEDSOC choir, Jazzmanics, Katriona Ho mixed up with other live performances....

Just Food? - ethical food conference

A day conference organised by Southampton Fair Trade Group
9:30am Registration, 10:15am - 4:15pm, Saturday 13th March

What is Just Food?

The conference will explore links between the fair trade and local food movements, problems within the conventional food industry, and discuss the possibilities of developing an ethical, healthy and sustainable world food system that provides people with a decent living in stable communities.

Speakers include Kath Dalmeny, policy director at Sustain and Sue Branford from GRAIN.
