Office WorkActivities and Responsibilities:
Medical placements are available for practicing professionals, medical students, nursing students, and pre-meds. It is estimated that hundreds of thousands of Nepalese people, especially women and children, suffer unnecessarily due to a lack of basic medical care. Working at a hospital or clinic is an opportunity to provide a much needed service and learn firsthand about basic healthcare in an underdeveloped country. If you have an interest or experience in a particular field, contact us and we will work to create a program tailored to you.
Medical Internship or Volunteer
Pre-Medical and Medical internship will be arranged in Government Hospitals as well as Private Clinics around Kathmandu & Chitwan
Benefits to Participants:
Able to get new experience, cultural exchange, share experience and travel.
Required Skills and Training:
Volunteer training will vary according to the volunteer's position. There is no experience required to be a volunteer. All volunteers must attend an orientation with the Volunteer Coordinator. After the orientation, the Volunteer Coordinator will make an evaluation to determine how best to utilize a volunteer's time and skills. Virtual volunteers will receive written instruction from their respective supervisor regarding their duties. Volunteers are encouraged to explore multiple areas of Volnepal's volunteer opportunities as their time and experience allow.
