Climate Emergency Overnight Vigil, which the Campaign Against Climate Change are organising around Parliament and Whitehall in London on 15th -16th of May.
The vigil event is in reaction to the rise in "climate skeptics" which we have seen recently - a broader campaign theme here at CCC. We are also organising a public meeting on April 14th about the climate
skeptics, further details of which are online here:
http://www.campaigncc.org/scepticsmeeting
I've attached two documents with the schedule and details of the overnight event: The "Vigil Email" attachment gives the essentials of the event and the "Arty email" is our call for artists, performers,
musicians, etc. to help the event make a splash.
If you could help us in any way, such as gaining publicity through the Student Hubs website or a newsletter, making it known to interested parties, artists, performers – whatever area you think
might be a possible - we would be very grateful. I have also attached an e-version of the flyer we are using to promote the event. The front page of our website(http://www.campaigncc.org/) will be continually updated as we get closer to the date as well.
With the collaboration of organisations like yours and many others, we hope to send the strongest possible message to the new government that climate change is still perhaps the biggest issue they will have to face and it isn't going away.
