For last three years we have run a very successful and entertaining waste audit at the end of February. As this is now an annual programme we would like to invite you to University Waste Audit IV.
As you will know if you have attended either of the previous audits, we are looking for volunteers to help identify the different waste types generated throughout the University as part of our drive to maximise waste minimisation, re-use and recycling. If you are kind enough to volunteer you will receive invaluable environmental work experience to help make your CV appear even more exciting. Those of you who attended previously will know this is pretty good fun and has genuinely helped us with waste management in the Uni. As a result we are keen to continue the audits to ensure our strategy is working.
The waste audit will take place on the afternoon of Wednesday 24th February in the Cube and should last approximately two and a half hours, including a brief training session at the start.
If you would like to find out more about the waste audit please come along to the launch event on:
· Wednesday 10th February
· 13:00 - 13:30
· Building 5 Room 2015 (LT/H)
If you are planning to attend we are also looking for suggestions of ‘environment inspired' music to be played during the audit. Last year we tried waste music but did not have enough. Absolutely any environment related suggestions would be very welcome to help us provide a suitable soundtrack to the afternoon.
All we're asking is a small amount of your time to help make a big difference to the environmental management of the University (and improve your CV).
Please email me to let me know if you will be attending, and feel free to distribute this email to anyone you think might be interested in getting involved.
