Debatewise is a not for profit online debating website with the aim of becoming the online debating version of Wikipedia and promoting increased and high quality debate from different perspectives across the globe. However we also want to give people the opportunity to look at the strongest arguments and counter arguments on the same page in order for people to make their own informed decisions on a variety of different issues.

To keep Debatewise current and up to date by creating and strengthening new content on the website. Volunteers will be provided a list of debates by e-mail which need either creating or strengthening/editing each week. Also volunteers can provide any suggestions that will help the general direction of the organisation
Benefits to Participants:
Aside from gaining a chance to develop and maintain your own independent research and debating skills (something particularly useful over the summer holidays), you'd also get a reference for the work you put in some thing that coming from a not for profit will look good on your CV. Volunteers would also get a profile on the site something that would help increase your reputation and profile. You'd also get a thing called Karma that would allow you to measure yourself and improve against other contributors on the site. Also rapid response team Volunteers would be in the running for the debater of the month award which goes to the person who puts in the most work on the site.
Above all you'd get a chance to develop your thoughts and feelings on the latest current issues as well as get them seen.
Required Skills and Training:
The person must have a computer with regular access to the internet. Also a good interest in current affairs and ability to research and work independently. Also the person must have good written skills. An ability to proof read would be desirable.
