Our Neighbourly help scheme aims to provide the elderly with simple help; it could be walking the dog, helping to hang some curtains, stopping by for a chat or helping out at the over 60s lunch club - simple things but to the elderly and infirm of immeasurable value.
Benefits to Participants:
Benefits to the participants would be to get involved with the community, understand difficulties facing the elderly, satisfaction that they 'have made a difference'
For students hoping to work in the community sector or work with people, this is an excellent stepping stone, providing hands on experience.
