60 years ago, the Universal Declaration of Human Rights proclaimed a wide spectrum of human rights that every human being has – without discrimination. They include not only rights to freedom of expression and freedom from torture and ill-treatment, but also rights to education, to adequate housing and other economic, social and cultural rights.

Cambridge People and Planet
People and Planet is a national network of students working together to make their universities greener and more ethical, target corporations who put profit before people and the planet, and educate ourselves on social and environmental issues so that we can campaign as effectively as possible.

Jacari
Jacari is a student-run charity providing one-on-one tuition for children living in Oxford. These children, who are between 4 and 16 years old, do not speak English as their first language and often come from refugee families and those seeking asylum. University students volunteer to help improve their allotted child's English and performance in other subjects as required.
