These are just some of the hundreds of organisations which deal with volunteering overseas. Choose carefully, as some are more ethical than others.

• 2Way Development- specialist volunteer agency. Places skilled volunteers with NGOs running sustainable projects.

• Frontier - Frontier (charity dealing with conservation and development volunteering)
• Oxford Development Abroad - Oxford student run charity offering students the chance to volunteer on development projects abroad
• Projects Abroad - organisation that sends volunteers to developing countries
• Student Partnership Worldwide – “supporting young people to address the urgent health, education, and environmental issues which affect their lives, communities, and countries.”
• Travel Aid - Oxford student run charity offering students the chance to volunteer abroad
• Voluntary Service Overseas - VSO organises long term placements for professionals
• VSO - Youth Volunteers - shorter term schemes are run by the UN for young people. The Global XChange programme is a team based exchange for 6 months where young people from different countries volunteer together abroad and in their own country. Youth for Development is a one year overseas programme.
• World Service Enquiry – “the only charity that provides overseas placements, information and career advice to people who want to volunteer or work in international aid and development at home, or overseas in the developing world.”
