The sotMUN is a simulation of the United Nation’s customs and practices. Students take on the role of delegates in sessions of intergovernmental organizations (IGO’s) and debate global issues encompassing international peace and security, economic cooperation and development, human rights or the protection of the environment. The ultimate aim is exchanging views on current events, civics, globalization and multilateral diplomacy and finding solutions and compromise to problems not only on paper but also through speech.
